Over 100 soldiers from The Royal Lancers and 4 SCOTS Main have deployed to Greater Manchester in support of the Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Wigan Local Authorities. From this morning, we are here to deliver Lateral Flow Tests to key workers in the fight against #COVID19.

Ahead of a new community testing programme in Greater Manchester soldiers from The Royal Lancers and @4_scots_CO have been training to use the rapid turnaround lateral flow tests. From tomorrow Eccles Town Hall will be used as an asymptomatic COVID test site for key workers.

Our people are and will remain at the heart of Defence. Army personnel from 4 Scots spoke with Defence Secretary @BWallaceMP about their aspirations and experiences in the #ArmedForces on his visit to Catterick.
