Tonight FS Ness RAFAC delivered a session on Remembrance and the history behind the day. The session also looked into why we wear Poppies and some real life letters home from soldiers to their family members in World War 1. #LestWeForget

Last night we did something a little different on our virtual parade. Sgt Williams delivered a baking lesson and we all made mug chocolate cake. Very tasty!

A well deserved break over Christmas and New Year but happy to get back to some “normality”, whatever that is now. Looking forward to catching up with my cadets on return to parade nights.

Condolence message from the Commandant RAF Air Cadets Air Commodore Tony Keeling, regarding His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, our former Royal Patron for 63 years.

Last night a few of our cadets had chance to dust up on their drill practice led by Flt Sgt Ness RAFAC with the assistance of the cadet Flt Sgt’s. All cadets’ skills are coming along nicely and some have a very impressive drill voice!

Today two of our cadets have learnt how to fly on the PTT simulator. The PTT is the first step towards achieving their wings! Once they’ve completed this element getting airborne in a Tutor or Glider will result in the award of Blue A or G wings to wear on their jumper.
