Reviewing component libraries and just realized how awesome Flowbite is. Using Tailwind, supports all the frameworks, beautiful documentation. flowbite.com For Svelte: flowbite-svelte.com For Vue 3: flowbite-vue.com I feel, Flowbite is an excellent choice.

To name or not to name Figma layers? That's the topic we discussed in our first Engineer-Designer Hangout session on YouTube. If you'd like to tune in ⤵️

I played with most of the modern "static" website builder frameworks and finally realised, that Astro main focus is generating static pages as I always wanted. Love it. docs.astro.build/en/concepts/mp… Also easy to connect with @Directus. Excellent combo: directus.io/guides/get-sta…

Today I was let go from CrowdStrike because I was standing up for people too afraid to speak up. If you have any #EmberJS jobs where you're interested in moving to Glint / gjs/gts (Basically Polaris before it's out), lemme know

In 2023, among single-page-apps, #EmberJS is a legit choice, out-performing newer technologies, such as Svelte, Vue, and React* (on Desktop*. on Mobile, it's pretty close, with the obvious straggler being Angular). (higher is better) #JavaScript #Performance #Perf #Web

How often do you upgrade your project packages/dependencies? Good practice to update all of them weekly or more often and fix deprecations immediately. Otherwise tech-debt will pile up. #developers #javascript

Excited to start organizing our 6th EmberFest (Berlin, AMS, CPH, Rome, Paris, 🙈). You can already buy your early bird ticket if you guessed the '23 city (or even if you don't)!

Frameworks without proper multi-layer (unit, integration, e2e) test support are totally useless, don't use them! Always check out whether the test is well documented or only an afterthought. Terrible: Nuxt, Next.js, Remix. Great for big projects: Ember.js, Angular.

The heyday of product design is over! We had a good run for a decade, but a new era is coming. I had a rant about this on Medium. In case you want to tune in, here's your friendly link ➡️ blog.prototypr.io/the-heyday-of-…

I am a believer now! It’s not easy, but you can succeed on Medium if you put the work in. August 2023 was the first month I earned more than $100 through the Medium Partner Program (MPP). ⬇ medium.com/all-about-m/my…

😱 Our server startup takes over 20s, and sometimes regresses to more like a minute if we aren’t paying attention to keeping it optimized. That means 20-60 seconds between a developer making a change and being able to see the results of that…— Carl Meyer instagram-engineering.com/python-at-scal…
