It is safer to be a white man who just killed multiple people than it is to be a Black person in a traffic stop and if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about how abundant, unflinching, and grounded racism is in this awful country, I don’t know what to tell you.

i want to be clear about a couple of things. it doesn’t matter if Adam Toledo was armed or not. he should not have been executed by the police. it doesn’t matter if he was 13 or 33. he should not have been executed by the police.

Far and away the best event I’ve attended at Moscone. So grateful.

Remember, accountability is what happens after the trauma, justice is the idea that the trauma shouldn’t exist in the first place. The police have already killed over 300 people in 2021. One verdict does not bring them back. The demand for justice continues.
