Jennifer shares the threat, disappearance of #Garifuna people in #Honduras. The call to rise of many facing these injustice. The current condition in Honduras is alarming, but with the adversity and barriers they face they see hope and light and keep fighting! #EmpireAndEnemies

Jennifer states unity is what keeps us fighting to end #Persecution, #displacement, #CulturalPatrimony, #Traditions in #Honduras that the #Garifuna community are facing.

During 1901 7 hectares was promised to #Garifuna community in #Honduras by previous government, but their space has been encroached and resulting in lost of territory.

Jennifer is connected to OFRANEH was established in 1968 and was born out of the need to defend human rights in the 5 states across Honduras where Garifuna communities have lived for hundreds of years.

Over thethey have seen members of the community disappear, imprisoned, and assassinated. Due to global warming, imperialism, coastal tourism, ecotourism, coastal erosion, Garifuna people are having their lands, natural resources

and loved ones taken from them forcing many human rights defenders to migrate. years OFRANEH has come under increasing scrutiny for the work it has done to defend the ancestral
