Thx European Research Council (ERC) for funding our #ERCSyG project w Eduardo Villablanca Zeller Group Stefania Giacomello 🙏. Looking fwd to synergizing our expertise in immunology, #spatial techs, microbiome🦠 & computational modeling💻 to study gut host-microbiome interactions in health & disease
Thanks European Research Council (ERC) for funding our project CartoHostBug! I cannot wait to start working with Saez-Rodriguez Group Eduardo Villablanca Zeller Group to disentangle the human host-microbiome interactions at the spatial level!
Really grateful to European Research Council (ERC) and an amazing team Eduardo Villablanca Stefania Giacomello Saez-Rodriguez Group Very eager to jointly explore the spatial architecture of host-microbiome interactions in the human gut over the next 6 years!
New preprint from the group! Here we present a meta-analysis of Parkinson’s disease (PD) microbiome studies. This was a herculean task led by @stefanoromano & assisted by Jakob Wirbel Quinten Ducarmon along with other colleagues (not on twitter). biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Thank you Quinten Ducarmon and Nicolai Karcher from the Zeller Group at EMBL for presenting their new Cayman tool to us during our DMF UNIL bioinformatics roundtable. Thanks Malick Ndiaye for organizing it. NCCR Microbiomes Faculté de biologie et de médecine (inactif)
The Dutch government will invest €200 million in the Holomicrobiome initiative (holomicrobioom.nl/nl/home/). Very exciting science ahead and looking forward to representing LUMC Leiden & LUCID together with Wiep Klaas Smits in collaborating with all participating researchers!
Thrilled to have 3 new PhD students join the Zellerlab at the @LUMC. Patrick, Hecate’s on trees and Raymund Hackett each will embark on exciting new microbiome projects. Wishing you a great start and hope you feel at home here in the Netherlands!
Excited to welcome Gabriele Conti as a visiting PhD student from Università di Bologna His research focuses on the role of the gut microbiome in various oncological diseases. Happy to have you here Gabriele!
Ever wondered what happened when gut microbes don't get any food? Check out our new preprint on long-term fasting and remodeling of gut microbial and host metabolism with Robin Mesnage and many other great collaborators (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…)!
