BREAKING: Layla Moran 🔶🕊️ MP just asked Keir Starmer about NDA misuse at PMQs. This is a huge moment. We now have a public commitment from the Prime Minister - and with the Employment Rights Bill still in play, the opportunity for real legislative reform is within reach.

Another testimony. Another reminder of what silence costs NDA misuse isn’t rare, it’s systemic. Across education, media, healthcare... Not isolated cases, but a culture of enforced silence 🗓️ MPs & Peers: join us May 7 (5–6.30PM) in Parliament to hear why reform must go further

“There is no excuse anywhere within government to say they don't understand the issue of NDAs.” There is "so much" evidence non-disclosure agreements are a “massive issue” disproportionately impacting low income workers, says co-founder of Can't Buy My Silence, Zelda Perkins.

Yesterday we delivered a 38 Degrees petition with Louise Haigh signed by over 92,000 to 10 Downing Street, calling on the government to end the misuse of NDAs . After six years of reviews there’s no excuse left. With a govt supporting workers’ rights, the time for action is now.

This is a crucial moment. A group of amendments, led by Baroness Helena Kennedy & drafted with CBMS, have full cross-party & sector support. We need the strongest version to return to the Commons. Every worker in every sector deserves full protection from silence and abuse.

Excited to speak at the first SXSW London next week. Whistleblowing is vital to a functioning democracy, but too often it comes at a cost. Looking forward to speaking about how NDAs are used to silence truth, and what we can do to stop it. sxswlondon

New CIISA report shows £1.8B lost annually to workplace conflict in the creative industries - mostly from people quietly stepping away. If we want to grow the sector, we need to stop using NDAs to cover up problems and start tackling them properly. ciisa.org.uk/unlocking-grow…

Who holds the powerful to account? 'Powerful Perpetrators', a national UK study, is investigating abuse by high-trust professionals - judges, doctors, clergy, military, police, politicians - and how NDAs bury the harm. 📝 Take part (anonymously): powerfulperpetrators.org/get-involved/

Wow. Where do we start. We can’t quite believe it. This is such a huge victory, and is a win for all those who have bravely broken their NDAs and for all the incredible MPs, Peers, and allies that have helped us every step of the way. theguardian.com/law/2025/jul/0…

"The law protected the powerful person in the room, not the victim." The government plans to nullify non-disclosure agreements which prevent victims of harassment from speaking out. Zelda Perkins, Harvey Weinstein's former PA, tells @emmabarnett why it's an important move.

Silencing victims of harassment or discrimination has no place in the workplace. I welcome this move to ban NDAs that cover misconduct—an important step forward in protecting workers and building safer, fairer workplaces. theguardian.com/law/2025/jul/0…
