Today, Dr Marwan Barghouti detailed the torture endured by Palestinian prisoners and I saw Dr Frank Chikane squirm in discomfort. He said to me after that the trauma of hearing what is currently happening to the Palestinian is exactly what they endured during apartheid.

On #DayOfTheGirl, let’s take a stand against gender-based violence that puts girls at risk of HIV. By building safer communities, we can protect their futures and help them thrive. Every girl deserves to live with dignity, free from violence.
