I don’t think I’m going to make it to the new year

thanks to everyone who checked in on me after I went in to the ER. I'm okay. Scans didn't show anything wrong, which is both great and unhelpful.

I feel like my life fell apart in the last 5 months. I'm so grateful to my wife and my kids. I'd be lost without them. Completely. But I'm determined to finish my dissertation. And I will get a job. One that can support my family. Maybe then my mental health will get better.

I have to write a brief conclusion chapter, but all of that is just summary anyway, so I can finally say: I have a complete draft of my last chapter and I will email it to my advisor tonight and ohmygosh is this real
