Can I not use a custom car in championship mode on NASCAR 25 Game?

Race Report: I returned in the #73 last night in the Cwri & ngtxs updates redemption race at Blue Moon. And man was that BMW amazing! Captured the pole, fastest lap and the win! Sadly won't be able to compete for the championship next because of work. What a win for Phantom racing!
