MacPro discussion on ATP, John Siracusa. Could they do multi-socket + off-chip north-bridge? They could call the 16GB on M1 per socket the L4 cache, add external ECC RAM, i.e. Intel north-bridge era. Vs. Mac Studio adds support for: slot GPU, DIMM RAM, M2 SSDs, PCI. Maybe?

Thank you to Brandur for popularizing this concept. stripe.com/blog/canonical… I have no idea why it's not more popular. I don't know why every major framework doesn't do an amazing job at this by default. Of the ones I know, Rails is the one that encourages this the most
