A couple of things happening with the new retainer service makes me think Yuki Nishijima and I are also “fractional staff engineers”. It’s a huge level up for most small teams to suddenly get code reviewed by 30+ years combined Rails experience.

Here's what's being going on at our retainer clients: 1. Helped one deal with a recurrent outage. Yuki Nishijima and I quickly identified the issue as being caused by a combination of database pool misconfig, Parallel gem usage, and an undersized db plan. No problems since. (1/n)
