Day 1 of the Regina City Am presented by Zaba Financial is in the books! Our reigning champ Jorgen Viken is tied with Drayjon Sparvier for the lead at even par. Thanks to Gus Vogelsang and the staff at the Murray GC for an incredible day!

Balls are in the air for round 2 Wascana Country Club. The wind is blowing so it should be a good test of golf today!

Will Blake drives the green on the down fan par 4 7th and is looking to make a move. The entire group makes birdie including The Wiz and Ryan McNall. McNall is now -3 on the day is tied for the lead at even for the event. #birdieturkey

After back to back birdies on #5 & #6 Dre misses a tough up & down in #7 to fall one stroke off the lead.

Still anyone’s game with only a few holes left to play

Drayjon finds the water on the blustery 15th and now finds himself out of the lead for the first time in a while.

A bogey from Scotty Mac on #16 has him tied for the lead with The Wiz. Cole is in the clubhouse at +2 for the weekend and Scotty has 2 holes to play.

Scotty is Greenside in two on the or 5 #17. Not a great attempt on the chip but still has a look at birdie to take the outright lead.

Drayjon makes birdie after an absolute monster tee ball on #17 and moves to within 1 shot of the lead. Scotty Mac makes 5 and we should have an exciting finish!

We have a 3 way playoff! Drayjon, Scotty and Cole are heading to the first hole for our first event 3 way playoff

Congratulations to team Royal Regina Golf Club on winning our Interclub Championship! This year’s event saw teams compete from the Murray GC, Tor Hill Pro Shop, Deer Valley Golf, Wascana Country Club & Royal Regina Golf Club. Teams were chosen from the top 3 players at each club’s annual Club Championship.
