Corporal punishment in public schools is still legal in 19 US states. "Though intentionally wounding a pet cat is punishable by six months in prison, teachers in Mississippi can legally strike kindergarteners with wooden paddles for speaking out of turn." economist.com/united-states/…

Today is the International Day to #EndCorporalPunishment ! We call for an end to normalised and accepted violence against children under the guise of discipline or punishment - all children have a right to a non-violent childhood, now! Together we will #EndCorporalPunishment !

I had no idea so many places forbid anyone under 17 or 18 from even BEING OUTSIDE starting at, say, 10 or 11 p.m. Is that even Constitutional? Here's a map with the laws: youthrights.org/issues/curfew/… W sure like treating young folks as either criminals or infants.

About to be on CNN at 9:25 am or so on the Michael @Smerconish show! Repeats at 3:25 pm today. Topic: How kids NEED free time and free play for their MENTAL HEALTH! We took these out and replaced them w/ constant adult supervision. Bad!

This growing movement to raise the age of majority, coming from both left and right, needs to be nuked from orbit. I may be in my late 20s now, but my opinion on these matters hasn't changed a bit: young people deserve rights.

This is unconstitutional. The 26th Amendment of the United States Constitution clearly states: “The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.”

“Lowering the voting age is the next big thing in our democracy. This is a movement that is strong & vibrant up and down the country, in every corner of the country.” - La’Juan Allen, Director of Vote16USA.

Hey Fox News and Asra Nomani, we don't use any mature minors to die by physician-assisted suicide. We're not even sure what that means, and we've never endorsed or mentioned assisted suicide in any context. Fix your page, and maybe your editorial process too.
