“reverse racism” - There’s no such thing. It either is or isn’t racism. Racism is not mere disagreement or dislike. It’s a belief in racial superiority resulting in a race exerting prejudice + power to cause destruction, dehumanization, discrimination & death for another race.

This reinforces a key concept, good workers are also great leaders. Here, a really good educator is also a fine union leader. It's the respect from coworkers that determines informal or organic leadership among the ranks and awards like these often equate to organic leadership.
