When coaches say "listen to the message, not the tone," or "absorb what is said, not how it is being said," I'm often left wondering….why that, too, is put on the player? If your tone or delivery hinders your ability to best deliver your message and have it acted upon

Watching your kids play sports is an absolute privilege. The joy you get from being there, seeing them do things they love and finding ways to impact the team should be priceless. Don’t screw up what should be great memories down the line , by bringing negativity to the action.
