After a few days of detaching myself from work, I designated this afternoon to check emails. A student's handwritten blessing and cute drawing made my heart smile and motivated me to re-engage. It's not too late to end the occasion on a high note. I'm grateful for my students!🥰

It's the GREATEST thing to receive in the beginning of 2021! A first-grade student went above & beyond to record every new year's resolution on the list. To keep them in mind, she placed her goals in the snow globe (template from SlidesMania 💛). She also said "Happy New Year!"

He started learning Mandarin in early Nov. After a few month exposure, he took on the challenge to introduce the colors by using stacking toys. His mom is also his best partner to practice the language. So pleased to see the engaged student & family in action! Glenwood Magnet Elementary

A 4th grade student showed me an amazing way he did to practice & revisit the learning content. He created a Google Form to store his notes and constantly assessed his skills & understanding. A lot of hard work is behind the scenes, but I can feel that wonder & discovery!

To help Ss recognize more Chinese characters & see how some words are evolved from the graphical representation of the animals, we use digital LEGO to build characters, identify patterns/colors/sizes & make the animal words stand out vividly. Little bricks, lots of possibilities!

Just received this lovely poem from a first grade student-"Roses are red, violets are blue, what about (the) Chinese Teacher? -Dr. Wu." Kids have incredible ways of making our hearts happy!

Grateful to have such a supportive & loving Team Lead. I don’t know how possibly I could smooth out the bumps, anxiety & stress of transitioning to a new environment & new normal w/o her. I adore her leadership & friendship. End of the school year, but never-ending gratitude❤️
