As a Ukrainian and a new mom, I can’t bring my daughter home. Not until random attacks will stop. Not until there are mines in our fields and forests. Not until russia stops destroying everything I love while international organization are turning a blind eye to it.

This is how childhood felt to me: warm, golden light peeking through the leaves. Safe and quiet. Every day I hope children back home in Ukraine can return to just being children, and not knowing what war is.
