Gary Neville says he was told the Premier League are implementing new rules on touchline behaviour and they *specifically* cited Arteta. At least our manager has never pulled his hamstring by charging at an official. #afc

So just been informed by a reliable source that Lee Mason has been appointed a Referee Coach for the PGMOL The guy who did not set the world alight in the middle but was a survivor and was an abject failure in the VAR role will be advising and passing in his skill sets to others.

In the worst news you will see today, the PGMOL have decided to reinstate Lee Mason as a Premier League match official....He will also be TRAINING new referees 🤯 You cannot make it up. This is a man who forgot to draw offside lines during the #Arsenal vs Brentford game.

Barely a mention either about Pep pushing a cameraman, Hodgson scrapping with an opposition player, the Forest assistant kicking the ball away when it went out for our throw etc. The first Arteta incident of the season will be covered very differently.

The VAR official who missed Onana near beheading the Wolves man tonight was Michael Salisbury. If the name rings a bell, it’s because he is the man who ruled out an Arsenal goal against Leicester last season for Ben White seemingly brushing against the Leicester keeper. Hawkeye!

According to Howard Webb, they have the ability this season to release the audio from VAR conversations after the event to give clarity on the decision making process. There’s never been a more obvious candidate to start with the non-penalty from last night. I’d love to hear it.

Ayew on a yellow pulls Saka’s shirt. Foul. No more said. Tomiyasu on a yellow pulls Ayew’s shirt. Foul. 2nd yellow card. No hesitation. That ‘Arsenal tax’ is real. Don’t let anyway tell you it isn’t. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The more you watch the clips of Ayew's foul which didn't get a yellow and Tomiyasu's which did, the crazier the decision to send Tomi off becomes. The inconsistency is incredible. Such an important win for Arsenal in those circumstances. Helps build that backs to the wall type

In order to protest against the club’s lack of recruitments following their relegation to the Spanish third tier, Málaga fans went to the airport and greeted random strangers as if they were new signings. [Carliyoelnervio]

🗣️Alan Brazil on Tomiyasu - “It’s a joke. That’s the worst sending off I’ve seen. I think it was eight seconds he had the ball. Havertz had it for 11, he had it for eight. He gets booked. And then, he doesn’t touch the Palace player. It’s a joke, I’m sorry, absolute joke.”

🤷🏼‍♂️ This is why PGMOL needs scrapping and an independent body comes in and just hires the best refereeing teams in the world. You cannot have Premier League results being defined by the refs being pals with each other 🤦‍♂️

Mike Dean admitting he didn't do anything as VAR ref last season for the Chelsea hair pull vs Spurs as he didn't want to cause his mate Antony Taylor grief confirms everything fans moan about every week. Arrogant, biased, incompetent officiating to look after your mates
