Watching the livestream with Murat Dizdar and Prue Car MP to start Term 2. It’s so refreshing to hear the emphasis on championing public education and the recognition of the existing complexities that teachers are working with - pay and workload.

Really refreshing to hear from the minister that pay is linked to an indication of respect for the profession and and the need for teachers to have secure employment.

Fortunately I was seated when I opened my work inbox because the email from the Acting Secretary of NSW DoE, Murat Dizdar and his advance notification of policy change, bowled me over! It is so much more respectful to find out by email than by a newspaper article! 🥹
