Fantastic show at Sherman Theatre / Theatr y Sherman this evening. We’ve moved on to the 7+ one this year. Oldest said it was “the best show I’ve ever seen” 😀

Thought I’d take the Christmas tree down with the boys out of the house to save a) disappointment and b) interference. Forgot about the cat! Most fun he’s had in ages - the tree didn’t stand a chance 😹

Parents in the school yard talking about how quickly the holidays have gone and how great we have a couple of long weekends coming up soon. Excuse me, what, now?! That change of routine is like hell on earth for our kids #adoptiontrauma and not so easy for us either 😩

I am raging. Some people are beyond my understanding!

The regression and anger are relentless and exhausting - and that’s just for us on the sidelines. God knows how it must feel inside his head and body! #adoption #developmentaltrauma

But alongside the exhaustion, angst and tantrums, they continue to amaze me: youngest two spending a day competing in BMX racing and eldest winning a silver medal for his playing in a music competition. Despite the #developmentaltrauma they still manage this. Wow! #adoption

The boys thoroughly enjoyed today at the Urdd Eisteddfod, competing with Ysgol Mynydd Bychan, but what really made their day was when we had to stop the car to wait for cows to get out of the road going back through the Gower 🤣🐄🐮

Finally got round to watching the final episode of #lostboysandfairies (delayed due to a 9 yr old who won’t sleep!) - so brilliant @Dafydd__James. It touched a few nerves - we laughed and cried, and recognised our journey in parts of it Ardderchog 👏🏻

5 years in and a week’s holiday sees us reverting to “Not Again, Little Owl” to get through bedtime. Devon has been beautiful but the anxiety about being away from home is real for our boys #adoptiontrauma
