We are currently in a struggle where Jews and Muslims are standing side by side against a version of religion that has chosen darkness. Wishing all those celebrating a meaningful month of Ramadan. May we all find the strength to bring more light into the world.

In 2025, we saw a tragic peak in violence and threats that should shake every person of faith. At IRF Summit, Khalid Hussain reminds us that rising antisemitism is a danger to the soul of our world. We must stand together to ensure that light prevails.

I was honored to present H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa محمد العيسى of the Muslim World League with our Jewish and Muslim Religious Fraternity booklet in Arabic. We are building a long-term relationship to bridge the gaps between our faiths and overcome the forces that divide us.

If religion is the source of the problem, then it must be part of the solution. If there is a loving relationship between a Rabbi and Imam, then peace is already here. At the IRF Summit, I shared that we want to multiply this reality by a million. It starts by accepting the invitation to listen and embracing our shared original dignity as humans.

I joined an Iftar with Israelis and Palestinians organized by the Children of Abraham. I shared that despite the heartbreaking loss of nine of my students we must overcome our pain. We are one family and we will find a path to peace. Read more: davar1.co.il/663079/

Eid Mubarak to all celebrating today. Seeing the dedication of Muslims fasting during Ramadan shows the strength God gives us to do difficult things. God is Rahma and His will is for us to spread mercy. Jews and Muslims are family, and we will find a way to live together.

G O spells go. Add a D and you get God. Add an E and you get ego. I spoke at the IRF Summit about how conflicts are driven by identity and ego rather than true interests. We pray to the same God of compassion. We are family and we must learn to live together.

My colleague Rabbi Rabbi Dr. Aharon Ariel Lavi found a WW2 pilot jacket tagged "Smile and wave boys." We fight the forces of chaos seriously to protect humanity, but we must always hold onto our joy and our humor.

Seder table is a place where we sit down together to share our stories and ask difficult questions. True freedom begins with human connection and listening to one another. May this holiday inspire us to open our hearts and find a path out of the darkness together. Chag Sameach.
