Year 3 loved exploring all of the things the main character could get up to in the winter setting of our story! Can you guess what wonderful wintry verbs we were acting out below to help our dialogue?

Year 3 have been learning how to develop games which involve turn taking and listening. From this, we have been able to show how we can solve problems by listening and responding respectfully as well as demonstrating perseverance and determination to make things work!

Today we became a Stone Age community. We all had a very important job to do before reporting back to the community leader in our evening meeting. We used the present perfect verb form to write a report detailing everything we had completed during our day! Gayton Primary

Today we investigated rock permeability. We observed the rocks carefully to see if a stream of bubbles escaped the rock. We recorded our observations and concluded which rocks were permeable and impermeable. Gayton Primary

Today we searched for rocks in our natural environment! Using our knowledge from this week, we were able to recognise a variety of rocks as well as the type of rock we believed it to be.

Year 3 have had the best afternoon making their Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic scenes in a box! The children thought hard about which objects portrayed their chosen era and attached tabs to stand them in the foreground. Well done Year 3! Gayton Primary
