Year two have worked so hard to describe the properties of different materials and have used their knowledge for a comparative test to identify which material is most suitable to provide shelter for our Lego people from all weathers! Collaboration was 🔑

Year two have enjoyed their hands-on approach to investigating the chronology of events that built up to the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. The children have used their knowledge to create ‘a chain of events’.

A gentle reminder that it is PE on Thursdays for Year 2 - remember your kits for some more net, wall and ball fun 🏀

Year two have had such a lovely week focusing on their topic of Kenya with some orienteering and writing beautiful setting descriptions. We were also treated to a well-deserved visit to Rowan Park for a play in the sunshine. Photos to come shortly 😌

What a wonderful way to celebrate our attendance, commitment and aspiration to coming to school everyday. Year two made so many magical memories at Rowan Park as a reward. We hope you enjoy a sunny half- term and well-deserved rest after a busy few weeks! 🌈

Some fantastic computing and history in Year 2 whilst learning all about Amelia Earhart. Did you know that Amelia Earhart was one of the first sixteen women to get a pilot’s license?

The children had a blast completing their Jelly Baby challenge today. All day, every child was responsible for caring for their own jelly baby. We wrote birth certificates, read them stories and built jelly baby homes! 🍭 🍬

What a class! We will miss you all 🌈

Wow..what a year! Yesterday was very emotional but I am so grateful for all the hugs, smiles, kind words and gifts shared. As the saying goes ‘don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened!’ 🌈 I will miss you all at LMP! Keep shining! 🌈
