Holy crap what did they do to Gmail... Whatever update happened in the week is a huge downgrade. It seems like I can't turn off the ai assistants for overview and smart composing without also breaking the email sorting and filtering. All or nothing, I guess? How frustrating.

Politics isn't everything, but everything is politics. The way policy shapes out joint societal experience is hugely impactful. You cannot get too far down into your career without eventually hitting a wall (rule) erected by policy. So why shouldn't you talk about it?

I never realized how proud I was to be a midwesterner until I saw the strength of Minnesota and Minneapolis. You go guys - show them that passion that even sun-zero winters can't freeze.

Supporting your country blindly is not patriotism. Be critical. Do research. Stand up for your morals and your beliefs. I see a lot of people feeling inclined to support ICE because it's part of US Policy. No. Don't blindly do that. Review it. Question it. Then make up your mind.

War, economic bubbles on housing and AI, climate change - all of these out of reach existential threats, and I am expected to wake up, go to school or work, and participate in society like all is good. No wonder crippling depression is everywhere...

I am reminded that life is impossibly shorter than we realize. Live loudly, love fiercely, and don't hold it against those who don't reciprocate. There is more than enough sorrow in the world - be the counterbalance.
