XR have been made to leave the VauxhallGardens . A bit patchy but not a speck of rubbish. I wish all our visitors would do the same and put the rubbish in the bins

Why do we prefer a fantasy tech fix over immediate cure? because there’s no money to be made from banning firecrackers, crop burning and fossil fuel transport. Our global economy rewards the destruction of the planet. theguardian.com/cities/2018/se…

Our leaders are literally weighing human lives against GDP. This is what capitalism has done to our moral philosophy. theguardian.com/education/2020…

The fortunes of billionaires aren't earned, they are extracted: from nature, from underpaid labour, from the privatization of public goods, from political influence, from monopoly rent-seeking. No one "deserves" this kind of wealth.

Nearly everyone I have spoken with about ending the ‘lockdown’ is vehemently against ending it any time soon. This leads me to think it’s the corporations and the media moguls that are leading the charge, not the British people.

A really important, beautifully-made film of the work of George Monbiot produced by Alex Lockwood (or Alex 1, as he's known) a commission from We Animals covering George's advocacy and arrest during the animal.rising Extinction Rebellion Global October Rebellion: weanimalsmedia.org/2020/04/30/mon…

There is not a single European country that actually *needs* domestic flights. All domestic travel can be done easily by train. The EU should seize this opportunity to end domestic air travel, and retrain staff for careers in the Green New Deal.

Instead of bailing out a redundant industry, perhaps we should offer transition salaries so that airline staff can be retrained as keyworkers. As for the CEO’s, let them take it on the chin.

Wow, this is staggering. A new poll finds that 8 out of 10 Britons want the government to prioritise health and wellbeing over economic growth. Times are changing. amp.theguardian.com/society/2020/m…

Just a reminder that when Boris says we must all go shopping tomorrow to repair the economy, you really don’t have to ! The pressure to reduce costs & speed up production time means that environmental corners are cut in the name of profit, & human welfare is sacrificed too...
