i cannot believe there are people saying writers should only start posting fic if they have full availability to write. fanfic writers are not professionals getting paid to produce content. they are people writing between work, bills and everything else life throws at them.

my take on reading (or not) in-prog fics is that some people need to ease up on treating writers and fic like instant gratification machines. “what if it never gets finished?” then it never gets finished. more importantly: what can you enjoy about or learn from what’s there?
