Ophelia just got out of hospital today after a three day admission. I want to tell you about how incredible the staff were; how they moved heaven and earth to ensure every single minute of her stay was as as comfortable and painless as possible.

The consultants she saw were kind, explained everything well and never condescended to us.. the nurses were sweet, funny, patient and professional always placing her medical needs first over pandering to her.

She was fed a variety of foods in accordance with her requests from the menu, she was tested and we were listened to and our questions and concerns addressed. They even prescribed medication and brought it to her her in her bed before discharge. NHS

The NHS is a gift, a godsend an absolute miracle. I’m in awe of the selfless workers & the amazing system they deliver despite endless cuts, daily attempts by the media to undermine its effectiveness & governmental machinations to privatise - thank you NHS Airedale Hospital
