A very correct decision to stop #parkrun this week so not at ⁦wythenshaweparkrun⁩ but maybe 100/120 laps of this course will equal 5k? May even do a run report as well 😀

I did a virtual 5k race this morning, organised by one of my parkrun UK wythenshaweparkrun friends. It made me feel connected to my friends in Manchester (who I haven’t seen since February) and the entry fee will support communities in Manchester through Forever Manchester ❤️

10 years ago I sent an email to some bloke called Paul to see if there had been any interest to set up a parkrun UK in Wythenshawe park. It sent me down a very different path. 10 years on, I’m in a much better place and very thankful for all the people I met through it #parkrun

I had a solo bible around the course yesterday. I think Muddy Passage needs a new name 🤔

Good news everyone, Manchester Council have given permission for parkrun to return to the parks they own (us, Heaton, South Manchester and Alexandra) so, providing the green light is given by parkrun HQ, we'll be back to 'normal' Saturday mornings soon!!
