As the future becomes the present and the dreams become projects it's easy to get lost, especially when you go dormant for a year for some reason and can't remain awaken

Yet, I cannot ignore this. I cannot pretend this is not the outcome of my research, even if it hurts. We MUST acknowledge the impact of deficit framing on autistic people. We must address autistic shame.

The only way autistic people can live authentic, fulfilling lives is by rejecting the shame that had been thrust upon us. The only way autistic kids can grow up to be confidently autistic is by addressing this issue.

Can we please stop suggesting to people who have been abused that in order for us to heal we must first forgive. This is bullshit and very damaging to so many of us..
