The initial line of storms that crossed through the DMV area has started moving out with another line of potentially strong to severe storms moving through this evening into the overnight hours

Day 2 Outlook from the Storm Prediction Center has much of the eastern half of the DMV and Central and Eastern North Carolina in a Marginal Risk for strong to severe storms to occur early on Thursday into the early afternoon

A stray shower will be in the forecast over the next few hours in the DMV leading to a high pressure building in over the weekend before another big severe weather threat starts rolling in Sunday into Monday. I’ll have your up to the minute forecast when severe weather strikes!

Confidence levels are high for a widespread severe weather outbreak for Sunday into Monday. The SPC hardly ever issues a MDT risk on Day 3 outlook for severe thunderstorms. This system will move its way into the Carolina's and DMV area Sunday night into Monday! Get prepared!

The SPC has added an Enhanced Risk for ENC early Monday. Now is the time to prepare and know where to go in the event of a tornado or other severe threat to your home. I'll keep you informed up to the minute in the event a storm is warned for the area.

Potential for a significant severe weather outbreak throughout the day on Monday. Multiple rounds of severe storms expected between sunrise and mid-afternoon. Storms will bring a threat for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.
