We had such a fantastic time yesterday meeting the Skills for Work and Life group from Myerscough College & University Centre who are going to be coming down to our @WoodlandTrust Smithills Estate site to help us with lots of practical tasks as part of their course! Can’t wait for them to start!

What a wonderful time we had today with City of Trees helping us with our @WoodlandTrust primary schools planting day as part of the #bigclimatefightback The kids loved it and one excitedly told me, ‘We’ve planted at least 15 trees!’ Oh and Newsround where there to film it all!

We had a wonderful Dementia Friendly Walk yesterday at the #Smithillsestate in conjunction with City of Trees . We had a reminiscence session at Barrow Bridge where we strolled through the village and woodland, comparing old photos with how things look today! @WoodlandTrust

Great to be back on the #smithillsestate yesterday after 12 weeks of maternity leave. Not there for work yesterday but to enjoy the peace and tranquility and introduce the baby to some of the wonderful nature on our doorstep. She didn’t see much though as she slept right through!

My dad was disappointed not to have brought his tape measure to measure this beautiful beech tree in rivington ! Could it be an ancient tree? He has already found a couple of ancient trees in rivington so maybe this one could be next #trees #bolton @WoodlandTrust

Ive FINALLY made the change and am buying my fruit &veg from Small Good Things local #bolton greengrocers. A delightful shopping experience,cheaper than I thought and also #plasticfree Can’t wait to see what my veg box brings on Friday! Oh and the tomatoes were out of this world...

We've had some exciting work happening at Smithills Estate over the past couple of weeks! We have planted 87,500 sphagnum moss plugs on the moor which will eventually form peat bogs and capture carbon. We made this little video to explain more.@WTTracey youtu.be/k4EHyWNWPLs
