From 48 students to nearly 24,000 — Wayne State sure has changed since Prof. Samuel Duffield delivered the first lecture at Detroit Medical College on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1868. This historical marker honors the legacy that began that day, that we couldn't be more proud to continue.
