I had an epiphany this morning while walking the dog... I was thinking through my 2021 goals. I’m trying to decide on a format for my next writing project. My epiphany: I don’t have to choose just one. Why not have TWO writing projects? Done and done.

Happy dreams, writers... What will you write tomorrow?

As I circle around “big ideas” for my 2021 projects, I’ve landed on a couple: (1) a musical best described as Footloose... but with Christmas And (2) a novel (a first for me) revolving around the power of kindness The real work begins Jan 1... but excited to nail these down.

Day 1: 2021 goals: Write a play (or musical) which I’m calling “Footloose...but with Christmas” for now. ALSO write a novel about the power of kindness Target audiences: young adults Today is the “just put words on paper” day. Thoughts. Ideas. Characters. Spitting them out.

It took me roughly six months....but it happened. I came up with the "right" next project. Ironically, it's going to be a musical about having writer's block...

Six months ago, I gave myself the goal of starting a 2021 writing project. But I hit a road block. The story didn't just materialize as I had hoped. Unlike times in past, I gave myself time to think. Last week, it came to me. Today, I have an outline. Let the games begin!

✅ Treatment written ✅ Character Background Sheets written ✅ New Stage Play Writing App purchased ✅ Scenes one and two completed ✅ Progress

Inspiration and motivation are such a strange concepts. For 6 months, I searched for the right concept. 2 weeks ago, I had an epiphany. Today, I'm half way through a first draft of a musical. For 6 months - nada. 2 weeks later, a hell of a lot of work. And I like it. A lot.
