Here we go... I'm kicking off the log files track at brightonSEO in Syndicate 1&2!

Before we get into the analysis side, we're covering different types of access logs that you might encounter: - Common logs - Combined logs One is default, one isn't - and it's important to know what your logs are before analysing them

So when should you analyse logs? ...it depends. You could grab them at: - Preset intervals Or - After anomalous occurrences (eg 404 spikes) ...there are Bash scripts that can help automate this too

Aside from all of the obvious SEO benefits, you can also use logs to help your PPC team to diagnose some common issues with ads...
