Today students found % increase of topics they were interested in, including net worth of celebrities and the cost of muscle cars. It felt like a big win to have students find the math we’re learning relevant AND to be jazzed about doing math the day before spring break 🤩

XL’s math curriculum & professional development for educators will be available at no charge to all KS accredited public/private schools, K-12, through June 30, 2024. IXL Math is aligned to KS standards & is evidence-based. About 150 systems were using IXL prior to the contract.

It’s Cadbury UK Egg Season AND volume season! Put them together and we have VERY engaged students competing in a friendly estimation challenge. Competition ends April 14th, and winner walks away with the jar contents. What information would you want/ questions would you ask?

2.5 weeks left and the rose colored glasses are coming out. Some of my favorite things about my middle schoolers- they still go all in on the Mystery Trash game, little things like jolly ranchers & stickers delight them, you can’t say ‘due due’ without erupting giggles.

I met these two 12 years ago KU School of Education & Human Sciences. If you had told me then we’d be here 10 years after graduation, I 100% would’ve believed you. Last week, we state tested. Yesterday, we celebrated! Goal was to build the SLOWEST marble race. Thank you Indian Hills PTA for fulfilling my grant. My students had a blast, & it’s so fun to see their creativity/ problem solving!

We had the best time at our first Highlands Hawks Carnival! I loved seeing past students SME Lancers volunteering to help make it a special night, running games and painting faces- including this little Wonder Woman! Grateful to be part of this community, as a teacher & a parent ❤️
