Interesting development we heard today regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (#GERD) planned activity through a joint press release by #Ethiopia and #Egypt. I got few questions to explain this. 1/6

Meet an especially graceful satellite mission: GRACE! 🛰️ GRACE is a pair of satellites that follow each other. They use Earth’s gravity to measure changes in things like ice sheets, glaciers, and even groundwater. The bigger the object, the more it tugs on the satellites.

In our American Water Works Association paper, we discuss the drawbacks of regulating HAAs as a group. MCLs related to a group of DBPs weights each one by its conc. But often DBPs with the lowest conc have the highest toxicity. What's the best path forward? awwa.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/aw… #water #publichealth

Stopping children from dying: one of humanity's greatest achievements. Dramatic progress has been made across the world. One example: In 1970, 1-in-3 newborns in Malawi died before the age of five. In 1990, this was 1-in-4. Today it's 1-in-24.

About 80-90% of #PFAS exposure is from sources other than water - consumer goods, household products, food, etc. Why isn't there an aggressive effort to address those sources? Is the burden disproportionately being placed on #water utilities? #podcast: bit.ly/PFASepilogue
