Igor Stravinsky was born on this day in 1882. In 1949, he stopped by WQXR to discuss the mythology behind his 1948 ballet Orpheus. You can hear his voice superimposed over the opening bars of the work with Stravinsky conducting. bit.ly/4bZR06m
