One of the beauties of the traumatised brain is that the more you need some help, the more it convinces you that you don't deserve it. We need to be understanding of why not everyone can pick up the phone & make that call

Sometimes, something positive happens during the darkest of times that reminds you to keep going If you can't see or feel that right now, it's OK, you will get there and you are never alone along the way

seeing others celebrate their success by being X time free from Y harm can be tough if you are still struggling. It is no sign of you being "weak", you are ill or injured It is also OK to find it tough & be happy for that person too. Your time will come x

Really disappointed with @GiveUsAShout I've been struggling a lot recently but unable to verbalise it, so the ability to text is essential. When struggling, the last thing people need is your "you've been using us too much" automated response. Great way to reinforce self hatred

this time of year can be tough, especially if you have sensory issues from neurodiversity, mental injury or both. Prioritise your self care. Make a plan during the day to get you through the night time. Be kind to yourself

What people often don't understand is that some people with mental illness and/or injury can go from a "good" day to being seriously at risk of harm at the seeming flip of a coin & often they can't pinpoint why.
