If you have a dx of any chronic illness or pain, good luck being treated like a human being if you have an acute issue. The amount of dx missed bc they’re assumed “drug seekers,” has to be increasing. The stories we hear are getting worse. Yet, success bc opioid rx is ⬇️! Right?

Fibromyalgia varies from one patient to another, but the multiple symptoms it causes are often intertwined. For example, patients who do not sleep well will usually struggle with daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, depressed mood, and increased pain. ~ AFSA #fibromyalgia

When someone expresses their limitations due to their chronic illness/disability it is not an excuse and it is not being negative. It’s matter of fact.

So i’ve just had to nip to the shop because we’re out of milk and I can’t function without my coffee in the mornings. So I get to the shop and i’m sat in the car for a good ten minutes trying to work out why I can’t find my car keys………..They were in my hand! 🤦‍♀️ #FibroFog

Chronic illness: where people who have never been chronically ill and aren’t doctors think they know how to handle it better than you do.

The strikes this week have not been caused by junior doctors They’ve been caused by a Government that has taken healthcare professionals for granted for far too long Please RT if you can see through the Government spin and back the junior doctors All they want is fair pay.

Conservative MP Edward Leigh thinks disabled people and pensioners cost too much. He claims £2350 to pay his Council Tax, and £2500 to pay his energy bills every year But he isn't disabled or a pensioner, he is on £94,000 He should pay his self and cut the bloody benefit costs

This is very true! I pay for a cleaner, and a gardener and spend more money on groceries so that i can buy pre-cut vegetables and other convenient foods. If I wasn’t able to do these things and had to do them myself it wouldn’t leave any energy left for work!
