Most of the trials are industry funded & the few that exist are short term, typically 4-6wks & inadequate for assessing suicidality & clinically meaningful outcomes.

In 2 major Prozac trials in kids there were serious data omissions from the journal article - eg suicide

There's no shortage of access to antidepressants - they're among the most widely prescribed drugs globally. Monthly prescriptions to adolescents & young adults jumped >66% between Jan 2016 - Dec 2022. After pandemic lockdowns, prescriptions rose 63% faster.

Antidepressants should never be sold over the counter. These are serious, mind and body altering drugs and NOT a daily vitamin.

They are linked to violence, suicide, akathisia, sexual dysfunction, and can be hard to get off them.
