A small victory but it doesn't dislodge the years of misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment by clinicians. I hate that my medical notes will always follow me around.

.Pfluft @ploederl.bsky.social is doing the U.S. FDA 's work for them here. It is stunning that their process has approved a drug for children that is more likely to make kids suicidal than relieve their anxiety. FDA's explanation 'we already warn that these drugs increase suicidality'. Shocking.

What a fantastic opportunity to work with a great group of researchers on deprescribing and big data! I hope the withdrawal effects of coming off drugs will also be factored in....

It took me 3 attempts to come off anti-depressants. The withdrawal was horrendous - daily panic attacks, vertigo (falling over), & intense anxiety for around 3-4 months.

Should they be made easier to access over the counter? Based on my experience, no.
