current events and avoid taboo topics of discussion. Your goal is to inform, inspire and motivate not to offend accidentally

1. Don't assume they relate to everything you say 2. Don't get too comfortable, keep it professional (avoid jokes)...

3. Don't try to overly impress them with your message, keep it simple and speak to them not over them

Every speech or presentation will not be perfect (even after multiple practices) so don't be too hard on yourself; I felt that a mess-up...

thru your speech was a sign that you should not attempt it again. Bouncing back in the middle is difficult but a must if you want to grow
