Today I had the privilege of attending the Catalina A24-64 Commemorative Ceremony in Cairns. During the ceremony a plaque was unveiled to honour the nine crew members from No 43 Squadron Catalina A24-64, lost 14 December 1944 on Mindoro Island in the Phillipines during WW2.

#YourADF tested their swimming skills by competing in events which enhanced their fitness, teamwork, & ability to complete drills under time pressure & physical fatigue. Activities included a relay race incorporating a strip & assemble of a rifle, & an over-water obstacle course.
