I’ve had the opportunity this week to attend NAICU 2022 Annual Meeting & Advocacy Day in Washington DC. This event gives presidents & other senior higher education leaders the chance to learn about the important policy issues affecting college campuses across the nation.

Today I have the honor of participating in the 5th Annual Black Experience Summit hosted by Elms College in the Presidential Panel “Lifting as we Climb” alongside Harry Dumay, Ph.D., PresidentEspy@Mitchell College, and Lynn Perry Wooten.

This afternoon, I’ll be taking part in the Mass. NASPA Steering Board’s virtual town hall on re-opening campuses during COVID-19. I’ll be on the panel with Dr. Pam Eddinger, president at BHCC Boston, and Jackie Jenkins-Scott, interim president at Roxbury CC.

Tonight I have the honor of speaking at the National Honor Society Induction at Duggan Academy. In the fall, WNE re-signed its partnership agreement with Duggan Academy, which bridges public secondary education and private higher education.

This week I’ll be attending the virtual Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit, hosted by Second Nature and IntentionalEndowment! It’s the premier annual gathering of higher education leaders committed to addressing inequality and the climate crisis.

This weekend we celebrated the Class of 2022 at Commencement! We came together to celebrate their hard work, success, and dedication. Nick Newell '08 was the speaker at the undergraduate ceremony on Saturday, and Sheila Hollender L'80 spoke at the graduate ceremony on Sunday.
