A few weeks ago DC Police Department said it was stepping up traffic enforcement due to the increase in traffic fatalities. Today it published stats on 2 days of enhanced enforcement in the 14th/U Street NW area; there were almost 130 stops that resulted in a ticket, warning, or arrest.
