If you, a staff editor, assigned a story, it’s a basic professional expectation you’ll acknowledge receipt of it; edit it w/in weeks or explain a delay; deal with our revisions promptly, publish and pay. Yes, you’re overloaded but we meet our deadlines and the bills keep coming.
