Even on a Sunday teaching undergrads never stops... Here practising carrying the canopy for the Blessed Sacrament for the annual Oxford Corpus Christi Procession carried, as is customary, by four undergraduates of the University.

One of the highlights of teaching has to be celebrating student achievements. A great night at this year's first 'Schools Dinner' yesterday, celebrating the Balliol College chemists finishing their final exams. The sun even appeared so we could enjoy the Fellows' Garden in bloom.

Encaenia Day in Oxford, which means honorary degrees and commemoration of the University's benefactors (and, of course, dressing up). Perhaps one of this year's honorary degrees is also a call for a Latin translation of Monty Python?

University: before and after (2015-24) Much to the disbelief of 18-year-old me, two weeks ago I graduated with a DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry OxICFM. Hugely grateful to everyone who shaped the past 9 years and made it all possible. Thankfully this isn't goodbye to Oxford!

Some news: I'm delighted to be moving into the teaching team Oxford Chemistry next week as a Departmental Lecturer in Practical Chemistry. Excited to be taking up a teaching-focused role and working within the great CTL team to deliver Oxford's integrated practical MChem course!

Great to see this very interesting review out in Chemical Communications from some of the Beer group, highlighting the potential of mechanically interlocked host systems for enhanced ion-pair recognition! Oxford Chemistry pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
