It just occurred to me that C.S. Lewis was alive at the time that Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" peaked on the UK single charts. Follow me for more useless information.

Sitting down to take one bite of breakfast or one sip of coffee then promptly leaving for school or work. Annoys me every time.

"Winter Meets its Death" Today marks 74 years since the first edition of C. S. Lewis' "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" was published. To celebrate, I'm posting a drawing of my vision of Aslan's triumphal return #cslewis #thelionthewitchandthewardrobe #narnia #illustration

“A Lesson In Astronomy” Another drawing in my latest Narnia series - this time from Prince Caspian. Watching the stars, eclipses and comets for me is always breathtaking and mysterious. I wanted to infuse that feeling into this drawing. #narnia #illustrations #cslewis

“The Rashness of the King” An illustrated scene from “The Last Battle” in my latest series of Narnia drawings. I wanted to portray the moment before King Titian and Jewel the Unicorn attack the Calormene invaders. #narnia #thelastbattle #cslewis #illustration #drawing

Further proof that artificial “intelligence” is still just a crock of bs that Silicon Valley is using to funnel as much investor capitol as they can into their imploding fantasy world. medium.com/@ignacio.de.gr…

"Between the Worlds" Lewis' description of Digory and Polly slipping through time and space in The Magician's Nephew is so vivid. The precariousness of the kids' situation is palpable in this story. I'd love to revisit scenes from this book again! #cslewis #narnia

Stop agonizing and start drawing. You will: - Uncover your weaknesses (so you can then develop them) - Learn when you make mistakes, you're safe (and can make more) - Realize just how capable you are - Build confidence It is that easy. The hardest part is starting.

I just realized an amusing irony while looking at editorial artist portfolios: The topic of AI has created a huge demand for editorial illustration *about* AI. So in some sense, AI is actually creating jobs for illustrators 😄
