Last weekend STEM It Up Sports hosted the Sphero Global Challenge Texas State tournament at UNT Dallas. 30 teams competed live and in-person to show off their coding skills, creativity, and enthusiasm. Congratulations to all the participants! 🎉👏

We had an amazing time Saturday! This was TownleyTorchlighters first robotics competition and we came home with 2nd place for our Bolt team and 3rd for our RVR team. I am so proud of their hard work!

My first group of 5th grade Townsell Elementary graduate today! I was so glad I got to see them last week as they walked the halls! I am so proud of all their accomplishments and wish them the best in all their future endeavors ☺️❤️

Recap of STEM Camp! We had so much fun! I got to work with campers on programming the BOLT+ robots. Day 1 and my friends were already professionals!! IISD STEM & Innovation Erin O’Connor

Day 3 we programmed our BOLT+ robots in some fun games. One of our campers received a Ronaldo jersey for his birthday the day before so he was ready for competition!! IISD STEM & Innovation Erin O’Connor

Day 2! We worked on coding the matrix to loop our designs. We learned about the science behind skate parks and worked to code the BOLT+ to navigate our new Terrain Parks. It definitely took patience but our campers were amazing and kept trying! IISD STEM & Innovation Erin O’Connor

Day 4! We made and coded our own obstacle courses. Campers used tape to measure and label so they could easily insert the measurements into their program. I am so proud of our campers and all of their hard work! IISD STEM & Innovation Erin O’Connor
